Parking and Access

1. Parking is at your own risk. Pumula takes no responsibility for damage to vehicles while on the property. Please park responsibly, ensuring your vehicle does not extend into the driveway. 
2. Please reduce speed on entering the property and be mindful when arriving and leaving of other vehicles and guests in the car park.
3. Please do not proceed past the private residence. 
4. Please follow the sign and use the access path to the Sauna and Studio.

Yoga class and Sauna Session -Terms 

1. If you are new to Pumula’s sauna/studio, please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session/class time, and for existing guests/yogis, please arrive at least 5 minutes before.  We cannot extend session times, private bookings or classes to accommodate late arrivals and will begin the sauna rounds on time. 
2. Please factor in getting to Pumula and allow time for parking and walking down to the sauna/studio. You can find directions below or on google maps.
3. Please ensure you check in with staff, before entering the sauna. 
4. To avoid disappointment, you must book before arriving. 
5. Pumula reserves the right to alter prices and services without notice. 
6. Sauna booking cut-off time is 3hrs before any one session time. If there are no participants booked in advance into a session, we reserve the right to cancel that session due to the required sauna heating time. 
7. Guests acknowledge that they use Pumulas facility and engage in our experiences at their own risk. Pumula will not be held responsible for any damages, injury, or death at or as a result of using our facility. 
8. Using the sauna may result in dehydration, heat exhaustion, or other related risks. The users will be advised to stay hydrated; however, it is the guest’s responsibility to recognise their limits when in hot and cold extremes. 
9. By confirming your booking, you agree that you will not be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs while using Pumulas facilities. We will refuse entry on this basis every time. No alcohol or drugs are to be consumed while in and around Studio and Sauna when here for a yoga class/sauna.
10. Please ensure you are in good physical and mental health to put your body under the stress of hot and/or cold extremes. If unsure, please contact Pumula to discuss your concerns. 
11. At the time of booking, you are acknowledging that you do not have any physical or psychological conditions which would place you at additional risk to participate. These include (but are not limited to) pregnancy, hypertension (high blood pressure), vertigo, diabetes, respiratory, and heart conditions. Pumula reserves the right to decline bookings for medical reasons. 
12. It is the guest’s responsibility to discuss any pre-existing health conditions and/or medications with a medical professional before participating in Pumula’s sauna offering. Please notify a team member before your session about any conditions. 
13. Pumula will not be held accountable for damaged or lost property brought to the facility. This is stored at the guest’s risk. 
14. Cold dip in spring plunge pool or stream at Pumula is completely at the guest’s risk. You agree to use a buddy system when doing cold immersion in water. 
15. Any manner deemed abusive or harassing to other guests, staff, or our beautiful surrounding environment will result in the refusal of entry immediately. In the event of this occurring, any payment made will not be refunded. 
16. Prices charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). 
17. Emails, Pumula will send out emails/WhatsApp broadcasts when appropriate. You have provided your email address and phone number and will receive updates occasionally. If you do not wish to be communicated with after your Pumula visit please inform us by email at pumularaglan@gmail.com  / select unsubscribe/ WhatsApp requesting to be removed from broadcast list.

Campervan Paddock - Terms

Welcome to Pumula. By booking a stay at our campervan site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure a safe, peaceful, and respectful experience for all guests and the land we’re privileged to share with you.

Access and Parking

• Reduce speed to 10kms.
• Please drive mindfully and have someone assist when reversing.
• Strictly no right turn on exiting Pumula. It is a blind corner and will place you and other road uses at risk. Turn left, travel up the road and turn at Waimaunga Road.

Booking & Payment

• Bookings are required in advance via our website and booking system
• Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.
• Prices are per vehicle, per night.

Check-in / Check-out

• Check-in: After 12:00 PM
• Check-out: By 12:00 PM

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before arrival will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
• No-shows or early departures are non-refundable.

Site Rules

• Quiet hours: 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM — please be mindful of others.
•  Fires: Strictly no open fires. Use designated fire pit only when permitted. Wood can be purchased for $10 a bundle. 
•  Waste: All rubbish and recycling must be taken with you (there are waste disposal/recycling sites on Te Mata Road or behind the Te-Uku Store).
•  Toilets: Guests must use the on-site composting toilets or onboard facilities (chemical waste must NOT be emptied onsite).
• Pets: By prior arrangement only. Dogs must be on a lead and under control at all times.
• Generators: Not permitted — we value peace and quiet for all.

Shower, Basin and Toilets

• Please use water sparingly - limit showers to 3 minutes. 
• Directions for operating the shower are provided. Please ensure you turn off all three switches when done. 
• The shower operates off gas and a battery driven pump. If it is not working either the battery is flat or gas is empty – let us know and we will replace them. 
• The basin operates on gravity flow from the tank. If the level is too low, water won’t be available in the basin – please let us know and we will pump the tank full.
• Strictly no washing of clothes, dishes or vehicles is permitted. 
• Please follow directions for use of the compost toilets. 

Respect for the Land and Others

• Please stay within the marked campervan areas.
• Do not damage or remove plants.
• The paddock shed is a shared space. Please be mindful of others when using it and leave it tidy. You are welcome to use and take away a novel as long as you replace it with another. Map books remain property of Pumula.

Liability

• Pumula is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or accident to persons or property during your stay.
• You are responsible for your own vehicle, belongings, and safety.

Right to Refuse or Remove

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave (without refund) if they do not comply with these terms or behave in a disruptive or disrespectful manner.

Cancellation Policy 

1. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. 
2. Here is the cancellation policy for each experience: 
   
   Scheduled Public Sessions/Class:  Cancellations made greater than 48 hours prior receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours and greater than 24 hours prior to arrival receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 100% of the total payment.
   
   Private Session/Class: No monetary refund is given with less than 72 hours notice. You can cancel up to 48 hours before your session for a credit on your account. No refund is given less than 48 hours before your session. Refunds are processed minus the booking fee.
   
   Studio Hire: No refund or credit available. Please get in touch for compassionate circumstances. 
   
   Same day cancellations or ‘no show’ appointments will be charged the full payment, note: there is always the option to send a friend or whanau in your place.

3. Pumula reserves the right to cancel sessions in the event of unsuitable weather or natural disasters. In this case, the customer will be notified via text message a minimum of one hour before the confirmed session time, and your account will be credited. 
4. All sales of packs/passes are final, and no refunds will be given to unused credits. Please note the use period of the pack/pass it’s either valid for 4weeks or 6months.

Payments

Pumula is not responsible for additional bank fees that you may incur from your bank. Bank fees are under the terms and conditions of contractual agreements that lie between you and your bank.

Gift Cards 

1. Gift cards may be purchased online/onsite. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. 
2. Pumula does not offer refunds, suspensions, or extensions on Gift Cards for change of mind, injury, illness, or any other reason. All purchases are final.

Passes & Products

1. Passes/ packs have an expiry date, evident on the date of purchase. 
2. Pumula does not offer refunds, transfers, suspensions, or extensions on passes/packs for change of mind, injury, illness, or other reasons. 
3. Any late cancellations or no-shows will result in forfeiting that visit as per our cancellation policy. 

All product sales (such as towels and hats) are final for hygiene reasons. All sales are final, and there are no refunds if you change your mind. We will honor any manufacturing faults under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Waiver

By agreeing to this waiver I confirm

• I understand that the use of the sauna involves risks (including but not limited to burns, slips and injuries as a result of low lighting) and I hereby assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages or losses that may occur to me while using the facilities
• I understand that the use of the sauna may result in dehydration, heat exhaustion, or other related risks. I acknowledge that I have been advised to stay hydrated and recognise my own limits when in hot and cold extremes
• I am in good physical and mental health to put my body under stress of hot and/or cold extremes
• I will not be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs while using Pumula facilities
• I am not aware of any physical or psychological conditions which would place me at additional risk to participate. These include (but are not limited to), pregnancy (fetal temperature is higher than mom’s), hypertension, vertigo, diabetes, respiratory conditions and heart conditions
• If relevant any pre-existing health conditions and/or medications should be consulted with a medical professional before participating in Pumula facilities
• Pumula reserves the right to remove individuals and/or groups who are not following the specified guidelines
• I understand that plunging in the pool/stream is completely at my own risk
